Having traveled quite a bit with a baby in a stroller, I can tell you from experience that the best travel strollers tend to be smaller and lighter than your day-to-day stroller for at-home use. While the smaller size and weight are great for travel, it sometimes means that your travel stroller may be missing some of your favorite (but big and heavy) stroller accessories from your regular stroller. If there is a stroller accessory you simply can’t do without, I’ve got you covered with my list of the best stroller accessories for travel.
In my list of the best travel stroller accessories, you’ll find a list of the best attachments for strollers and when or why you might want them. It’s my hope that by choosing the right products for your trip, it will make your travels with baby easier and more convenient.

Best Stroller Accessories for Travel
1. J.L. Childress Gate Check Bag
Key Features
Made from water-resistant, durable fabric, the J.L. Childress stroller bag offers your expensive stroller a high level of protection on travel days. It is large enough to fit most single and double travel strollers.
Easily folds up into your diaper bag or luggage
Double-stitched seams for extra strength and durability
Adjustable lock to safely secure the stroller insideÂ
Portable and easy-to-carry with webbing handle
The J.L. Childress is one of the best stroller travel bags money can buy. For more selection, check out my recommended stroller bags for travel.
2. Momcozy Universal Stroller Organizer
Key Features
Most strollers don’t come with pockets up near the stroller handles where us parents might want to keep things we want in easy reach (for example, I love to have my phone up there).
Lightweight and easy to store
Plenty of compartments for organization
Versatile bag with detachable wristlet pocket
With adjustable Velcro
There are many great stroller organizers on the market. You can check out more in my list of recommended stroller organizers for travel.
3. Stroller Hooks
Key Features
Stroller hooks are great for using your stroller to carry extra bags. You put them on your stroller handles, then you can use them to hold your diaper bag when you stop at a cafe or hold shopping bags as you walk back to your hotel room.
While they aren’t an absolute must for travel, stroller hooks can be convenient to have. Besides they are easy to pack and relatively inexpensive.
4. Stroller Cup Holder
Key Features
If your travel stroller doesn’t come with a cup holder and you’d prefer not to use a full stroller organizer, you can buy a universal cup holder to hold a coffee or a water bottle. I love this universal cup holder which also has a phone holder.
5. Universal Stroller Rain Cover Stroller
Key Features
A universal rain cover is definitely on my list of “must have stroller accessories”. I’ve learned through experience that a rain cover can do a lot more than just protect your baby from the rain.
Protects baby from rain and excellent for blocking wind
Made of EVA thin film that is non-toxic
With large see-through window
Quick to install and remove
6. Manito Sun Shade for Strollers
Key Features
Some of the ultra-lightweight toddler travel strollers don’t come with the best sun shades. While they are excellent for indoor use or for the airport, you don’t want your toddler to be in the hot sun all day.
Well ventilated,100% breathable
Offers sun protection and provides dark area for comfort sleeping
one-size-fits-all stroller sunshade
Lightweight and compact

7. Mosquito Net for Stroller
Key Features
Similarly, depending on where and when you decide to travel with your baby or toddler, a mosquito net can be a life saver! The last thing you want is for your baby to get covered in mosquito bites.
Has a universal fit and can fit in a crib or car seat
Lightweight and easy to pack
Affordable
Stretchable and can extend up to 60 inches in length
8. Baby & Toddler Head Support for Strollers
Key Features
The best infant travel strollers will have a full recline, but an infant head support can help keep your baby in the right position.
9. Stroller Fan
Key Features
A stroller fan won’t be necessary for all destinations, but if you are headed on an all-inclusive vacation with a baby (for example) then this is a great way to help keep your baby cool in the stroller. In fact, a portable fan is one of my baby beach essentials.
Keeps baby cool in the stroller
Rechargeable and portable
With fan cover specifically designed to protect baby’s fingers
Flexible knobs and legs
10. Cup and Snack Holder
Key Features
If your travel stroller doesn’t have a snack tray, a handy holder to hold a snack and a travel sippy cup would be useful. I’ll warn you now, the sippy cup is likely to get tossed out of the stroller at least a few times!
Can be used for any kind of baby bottle or coffee cup
With soft silicone petals to keep beverage from moving and overflowing
With anti-slip design
Adjustable
