BIG UPDATE INSIDE (9/13) – The crowdfunding campaign for McFarlane Toys next project is live – Medieval Spawn Remastered! This was teased for a while, then shown off at SDCC 2024, then pre-launched last week, and now it’s go time. Hit the link below to hop over to Kickstarter and back the project if you dig it. Update – as I was reviewing the live page, and prepping to back it, the project funded in probably about a minute, maybe two. So it’s definitely going to print! Now it’s unlock time!
Update 2 – a key note from the project page – production on these have already started, and shipping may start around Holiday season 2024! This year!
Update 3 – Todd McFarlane has revealed several new unlocks based on backing amounts. For now it seems to be unlocking something every 250k or so. Unlocks from yesterday:
• Extra Set Hands – UNLOCKED – 250k
• Sheath for long sword – UNLOCKED – 500k (not originally listed as an unlock)
• Small Axe – UNLOCKED – 750k
• Roman Helmet (Blue & Black Edition Exclusive) – UNLOCKED – 1,000,000
We are now at around 1.3 million, so at least one more UNLOCK should be coming today.
Update 4 – Todd McFarlane shared shots of the packaging samples. Included below in the gallery now.
Update 5 – More updates with two new unlocks – the Spawn symbol cloak chain, and one of the spiked forearms. Pics at start of gallery now below.
Update 6 – Over the weekend the project passed 1.5 million, so a new unlock dropped. The large shield will now be part of the package. We’ve added a shot from Todd’s video and created an unlock graphic showing what is coming. We will update that over time as new things get added.
Update 7 – New stuff over night with drops for the Silver Chest plate magnetic attachment. Looks like they skipped the 250k milestone since things have slowed down, but good that more goodies are still incoming. We’ve updated the quickie graphic below, first pic in gallery.
Update 8 – New comic art for the book that will be included, each will be colored to match the version of the toy you get.
Update 9 – Todd showed off the 32 points of articulation on the figure. Check the vid here.
Update 10 – New unlock, screaming hamburger head is live. Plus a Spawn logo base. Based in pics below is a placeholder, will have Medieval Logo and might have a second peg. 1st Kickstarter had matching color logos on the disc.
Update 11 – Couple new unlocks today. The skull magnetic chest pieces were dropped overnight. In addition, the mace with chain accessory was unlocked on Saturday, but I was offline when it dropped. Updated the pic below. Currently there are 8 days left or so to back the project. Seems to have stalled a bit at around 8700 backers. It’s going into production, just depends on what Todd decides to unlock and when from here on out.
Update 12 – BIG one today. The 3rd version of the figure, the gray prototype version, is being fully replaced with a silver metallic version now. It will have silver paint with a wash all over, giving it a pewter look. All weapons and unlocked weapons will now have that finish if you grab one via any method. In addition, the Valkyrie head has also been unlocked.
