Summer’s coming to an end (no…!) and with it Huck Gee’s absolutely loaded Kickstarter is wrapping up on Thursday (9.26)at 3 PM PDT, The Worlds of Huck Gee KS campaign marks Huck’s return to art toys with seven original vinyl figures drawn from his creative worlds. From his unforgettable take on feudal Japan to his iconic character, this is an opportunity to own Huck’s original characters in their pure, unfiltered, non-platform, self-produced form. With over $240K raised so far, Huck’s kickstarter is going extremely well, so much so that a few items are close to selling out (at least for this campaign).
Fans of his popular, arguably signature Gold Life world will immediately recognize the Raku – Day and Night, 8″ Ninja assassins (Editions of 750, 8″, $95). Following in the larger warrior’s footsteps comes the See How They Run 3″ mini mice trio – Envy, Pride and Wrath (Editions of 1000, 3″, $39). Each of these designs offer an unusual level of detail for 3″ vinyl art toys, most notably in the outfits and accessories. Closing out Huck’s take on ancient Japanese warriors is the Wolfrider (Edition of 500, 12″ $350), a mix of savage and kawaii in a striking 12″ tall design. With a pup-like face, this wolf definitely has traces of ‘cute’. Cuddly? Very much at your own risk.
Finally, there’s the one that started it all. Huck’s icon. His calling card. Skullhead (Edition of 750, 12″, $150). The trippy, formidable and pimpin’ angel of death returns in the unforgettable red/white pinstriped attire. The mix of the ‘Love You’ paddle and skull cane accessories highlight the joy in Huck’s work.
The Worlds of Huck Gee Kickstarter comes to a close on Thursday (9.26) at 3 PM PDT with an expected ship window of May 2025. So if you haven’t already done so, this is your last chance to back Huck’s self-produced art toy adventure.
